Fabrication Welder
A ground breaking three-year state registered welding apprenticeship program that combines foundational technical skills and equipment set up knowledge with hands on expertise. From intermediate wire feed to advanced tubular steel TIG welding techniques, apprentices will be given the skills to be versatile journey level craftspeople in the welding trade.

SMAW casting repair utilizing SMAW welding with severalel ectrodes
Grinding with several tools and abrasives
Use of safety equipment, hand tools, power tools and welding equipment
Weld procedure review and practices

GMAW transfer mode review per specification
Shielding gas cylinder safety, identification, and gas pressure (CFH) review
Perform Gas hose leak test as needed
Repairing or replacing regulator basics
Casting repair using the GMAW welding process utilizing several filler metals

Open root and consumable insert Steel applications in the 1G, 2G, 5G, and 6G positions
Casting Repair using the GTAW welding process utilizing several filler metals
