Program Details
The MI Career Accelerator is a 12-week program of a cohort of 12 to 24 students attending classes for either 240 or 336 hours depending on their needs.
Phase One: Exploration
Students receive a holistic approach to career exploration that includes an introduction to work in the industries we serve and employability skills such as digital literacy, career skills, communication, mental health, and more.
Phase Two: Training
Students receive 8 weeks of intensive core craft training for two pathways.
One pathway focuses on aerospace and manufacturing and includes the SME ToolingU Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA)certification.
The second pathway focuses on the mechanics pathway with introduction to basic engine mechanics, diesel, systems, and more that lead to industry-recognized Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.
