Aaron Wellborn
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Aaron joins the Machinists Institute after a successful and varied career in the transportation industry. He works with employers and stakeholders across the state to identify the employee training and development required to maintain a competitive edge across a diverse array of industries.
His experience stems from a decade in the intermodal and over-the-road transportation industry, having managed both represented and non-represented labor operations at port terminals, depots, and off-dock facilities. His experience in contract negotiation, collective bargaining agreements, and the never-ending search for workers with valuable skill sets make him well suited when it comes to understanding the challenges that employers face when hiring, training and retaining a workforce with the technical knowhow to make an organization successful and profitable.
A proud father of two wonderful daughters, Aaron is also a 6-year active duty veteran of the US Navy and a graduate from The University of Washington, Bothell. He believes in the mission of the Machinists Institute and is excited to bring opportunity not only to employers seeking to take their operations to the next level, but by also helping advance the careers of folks across diverse backgrounds and communities.
