Bruce McFarland

Bruce McFarland served in the U.S. Navy from 1983 to 1987 as an avionics technician. A year later he was hired into the Flight Test Organization as an avionics technician. Currently Bruce is the team lead for the Strain Gage Lab that supports flight test and lab test on all models of airplanes and programs that Boeing supports. Bruce has been a union steward for over 10 years and worked his way up through roles in the union to become Local E President. He is a strong advocate of education, receiving his B.S. in information technology/programming in 2010, and is looking forward to assisting the Machinists Institute and the union members it serves.
