Bernard Hardman
BOEING MENTOR DIRECTOR, RENTON
Bernard was a Quality Assurance Investigator at the Boeing company for a decade. He worked in Pre-Flight at Boeing’s northern facility in Everett for one year and at the southern facility in Renton for nine years, where he was also a Team Leader. He began his career in aerospace at Parks College of St. Louis University, where he earned his A/P license and a BS in Aircraft Maintenance Management. Bernard is also a veteran of the U.S. Army and applied his skills as a Staff Sergeant and Chinook helicopter repair person, serving in South Korea, Honduras, Iraq and Afghanistan. Bernard initially came to MI as a Boeing Mentor before advancing into his current role. In his own words, “my goal as Mentor Director is to use my skills and life experiences to help Boeing be better any way that I can. It’s a great company, but it’s only as good as those of us who work for and with it.”
When he is not hard at work, Bernard enjoys spending his time on carpentry and cycling.
